Trauma‑Informed Learning
A gentle, safety‑first approach that honors the emotional needs of learners impacted by stress, loss, or trauma.
Trauma‑Informed Learning: Safety First, Always
Trauma‑informed learning recognizes that many behaviors are not “misbehavior” — they are survival responses. Children who have experienced stress, instability, loss, or trauma often need more safety, more predictability, more patience, and more emotional support.
At Zapz Academy, we create learning environments where children feel safe enough to learn, express themselves, and rebuild trust in their own abilities.
We don’t ask children to “calm down.” We help them feel safe enough to calm down.
